Review This is a new mapping standard for wolf, this beats most of the official maps in terms of mapping quality in my opinion, especially in the ways of detail and features but probably not in gameplay terms of the popular official maps more in terms of lighting qualities, overall looks and build quality. This map is set in some snowy mountains, with a couple of bases and many other things scattered about the place. The objectives are to get into the base, and then blow up the plane and steal some docs too. With all these secret docs lying about its no wonder the German fellows lost the war. From the offset youll pretty much be amazed, or at least should be, by the quality of the brushwork, its first class, you can tell this map has taken a long time to make. One great feature to finally enter into wolf maps is excellent use of sounds, its not just "oh ill stick in that bombing sound" its got tons of sounds, even trees make a noise when you brush past them. I wont tell you about everything in the map as I dont want to spoil it, but it does have some new stuff previously unseen in wolf, only minor things to most people, I mean its not like it has planes you can fly in it, but they are new great things nevertheless. Its about time something of this quality came out for wolf, is it better than marketgarden? certainly in looks I believe it is. I hope other review sites give it high marks and it sets a new standard in rtcw custom mapping but as usual I dont know how well it plays, but it terms of map styles its first class. by eyeronik Download Mirror 1 Website |
