It all
depends on which game you are refering to! Wolfenstein
3D was "the" game that started the breed
of all first-person shooters(FPS). And recently the
sequel of this classic is in the making. Return To
Castle Wolfenstein is the title of the next Wolfenstein
game.
There
are many different genres of computer games on the
market today. FPS is short for First-Person Shooter
and is mostly in the Action games category.You play
a certain character and you see the world through
his eyes. These games tend to have a simple goal which
is most of the time to walk around and shoot at the
enemy. These kind of games didn't have much story
to them but that changed with time. The story line
of a game has become of such importance that it cannot
be forgotten. FPS games gives the gamer another perspective
at games.

The game
will have team based missions where you play as Axis
or Allies to do. Your mission will be to accomplish
certain missions by doing all sort of things.You will
be playing one of 4 classes ( Lieutenant, Soldier,
Medic, Engineer ). Since it's a team based game, you
need the help of all 4 classes to accomplish the objectives
and win the round. RTCW was created to be unique thus
all usual multiplayer modes ( CTF, Deathmatch..) will
not make it in the final product.
The game
features a bunch of cool weapons, you can view some
of the weapons in the game pictures section or you
can read about the weapons here.
You can of course use your boots to kick the enemy
if your close or you can throw chairs! So you can
kick and shoot what else do you need? :)
This
is one of many awesome features in RTCW, the enemies
are very intelligent! Throw a grenade at a couple
of soldiers and they will kick it back at you!! They
hide, they protect their teammates, they are everywhere!
Nothing is more fun than playing a game and to actually
say "damn bastards!" when they react to
your actions that usually works in other FPS games!.
Simple? I do not think so!
Co-op
is not something the developpers are working on, untill
recently they have been focusing on delivering the
best single player game ever!
Is
this game your average First Person Shooter?top
Are you
kidding me?! You can bet your money it isn't! The
game will contain unique features that will enable
you to have one of the most exciting experience ever!
One neat feature is the HUD because they added a sensor
to it so that when you are close to a certain object,
wall or enemy an icon will tell you that you are able
to do certain actions like stab the enemy or search
the wall for passage ways!
The game
is being made by Gray Matter Studios former Xatrix,
the talented crew that brought us Kingpin in the past
and other titles like Redneck Rampage and Cyberia
series!
Will
it be possible to create mods for this game?top
Definitly,
the community will have their hands on the SDK after
the game is released!
